Description

In Sydney’s Surry Hills, Golden Age Cinema and Bar opened in August 2013 after years of collaboration with a bewitching collective of architects, interior designers, auteurs and furniture makers to create a space that brings together the past, present and future in one environment for people to watch films, enjoy a drink or host an event.

Housed inside the former screening room of the Heritage-listed Paramount Pictures building, Golden Age screens just two to three films a day ranging from “Lynchian” cult classics, newly-released indie delights and well-worn golden oldies. Pre-movie banter or post-film tears can be shared in Golden Age’s bar with its mix of solid wood and brass surfaces, cherry curtains, warm lighting and comfortable Verona Chestnut leather bar and booth seating.
